Creative Nonfiction Writing 2

This is an intermediate course in writing creative nonfiction, with a concentration on literary journalism. It will build on elements of craft that were introduced in Creative Nonfiction Writing 1. Through directed reading of writers like Ed Yong, Susan Orlean, Rachel Kaadzi Ghansah, and Gay Talese, we will examine fundamental questions and challenges of long-form, narrative journalism and apply our learning to our own writing practice. PREREQ: Non-Fiction Writing 1. This course counts toward the Creative Writing Concentration.
