Assistant Professor Edward McPherson's recent publications and news

Edward McPherson's new collection of essays, The History of the Future was published in May to excellent notices  in journals, booklists, and national newspapers including the Los Angeles Review of Books. The History of the Future was also featured on NPR's 'To the Best of Our Knowledge' and 'St Louis on the Air' and excerpts from the essays have appeared in GuernicaLitHubGettysburg ReviewTrue Story, and The Dallas Morning News. He has given readings from the essays on St Louis, New York, Minneapolis, and Dallas and has number of reading dates still to come.

In addition to the new book, Edward has published a short story in the summer issue of The Southern Review (“Sky-Stormers of the Llano Estacado”), and has a piece forthcoming in The Common Reader. His short story "Telref" won a Pushcart Prize in 2016 and will be included in an anthology called Love Stories for Turbulent Times: Loving Through the Apocalypse—a best-of the previous 25 years of the prize (edited and published by the Pushcart Press in December).
