Our program is saddened to learn of the passing of alumna Marni Ludwig. Marni studied at Sarah Lawrence, Columbia, and here at Washington University, where she received an MFA in poetry in 2011. Upon graduation, she was awarded a Third-Year Fellowship. Her chapbook, Little Box of Cotton and Lightning, was selected by Susan Howe and published by the Poetry Society of America. Her book, Pinwheel, was selected by Jean Valentine and published by New Issues Press in 2013. Marni was much admired and liked by everyone who worked with her here, and we've been so proud of the work she's done since. Our thoughts are with her friends and family.
