MFA Student, Poetry
Apollo Chastain (ze/hir, he/him) is a poet, photographer, and archivist who makes artistic and historical work for people who didn’t think they’d make it this far and for kids who don’t think they’ll make it at all. Ze combines poetry and archival research to create resilient containers recording trans and disabled survival in the past and present. Hir academic and creative work has been supported by the Smithsonian Institution and PEN America, and published in journals including Poets.org, The Michigan Quarterly Review, The Arkansas International, and RHINO, among others.
