Max Carol

Max Carol is a fourth-year PhD student who studies modernist and postcolonial literature, focusing on experimental literature and the avant-garde. He received his BA in English from Cornell in 2019. Max is a recipient of the Humanities Digital Workshop Summer Fellowship, for which he analyzed and digitized African poetry for the Global Poetics Project. He also co-convenes the Finnegans Wake Reading Group and is a frequent contributor to the Finnegans Wake Extensible Elucidation Treasury (fweet.org), for which he has written over 1,000 annotations to Joyce’s final novel.
