Sara Flores studies multiethnic American literature. Her dissertation traces religion’s impact on the development of U.S.-based Latine/x literature since the late nineteenth century. She is particularly interested in how religion and ethnicity shape an individual’s identity and how writers depict religious experiences in coming-of-age novels.
