Sara Flores studies multiethnic American literature. Her dissertation traces religion’s impact on the development of Mexican American literature since the late nineteenth century. She is particularly interested in how religion and ethnicity shape an individual’s identity and how writers depict religious experiences in coming-of-age novels.
