Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society, founded in 1924. It recognizes and confers distinction for high achievement in English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. Sigma Tau Delta opens up new opportunities for publications, scholarships, internships, and networking. It is an internationally recognized distinction of personal, professional, and academic excellence.

At WashU, Sigma Tau Delta hosts fun and casual events that allow students and professors to interact in a social setting. Everybody can attend events, not just official members. Our biggest and most popular events are Bowling Night and Trivia Night, where students can compete with and against their professors. There are also casual coffee hours throughout the year that provide a nice study break.
