Alumnus Schwartzman publishes new book

A new collection of essays written by Jason Schwartzman, AB ’12, will soon be published by Outpost19 Books. No One You Know: Strangers and the Stories We Tell is based on encounters Schwartzman had with strangers he met in everyday conversations. Reflecting on the question of what it means to know someone, Schwartzman talks with taxi dispatchers, aquarium attendants, drifters, and neighbors. No One You Know will be in May 2021.

During his time at Washington University, Schwartzman majored in urban studies and took classes in creative writing. His essays and stories have appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Narrative.ly, and The Rumpus, among many others.
