Abram Van Engen's book, The Meaning of America: How the United States Became the City on a Hill, is now under contract with Yale University Press. He has also won an NEH Public Scholars Fellowship for spring 2018, and is co-editing a special issue of American Literature on "Post-Exceptional Puritanism."
