Two graduate students receive Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence

Two English graduate students, Alexandra Swanson and Ana Quiring, have been named 2020-21 recipients of the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence by the Graduate School. The award is given annually to graduate students who have been nominated by their departments for exemplary teaching.

Alexandra Swanson researches nineteenth-century British and American melodrama and is interested in performance theory, popular literature, and the intersection of music and literature. Ana Quiring's research interests include 20th century British and Anglophone literature, modernism, feminism, and queer theory.
