WashU's English Ph.D. Program Rises Five Places in National Rankings

The Ph.D. program in English at Washington University has leapt to number 30 in the nation in the latest "U.S. News and World Report" rankings released this March. The new number represents a rare rise of five places from our previous ranking in 2017. Rankings of doctoral programs in the humanities and social sciences are drawn from hundreds of assessment surveys sent to leading academics in each discipline, "U.S. News" reports. Congratulations to all of the graduate students and faculty who made this showing possible.
