Ana Quiring publishes article on TV show "The Nanny" in Avidly

Ana Quiring, doctoral student in English Literature, has published an article in Avidly, a channel of the LA Review of Books. Based on the popular 90's TV show The Nanny, her article provides a critical perspective to the show's relation to body image, fashion, and "loud" bodies. Quiring's research interests include 20th century British and Anglophone literature, modernism, feminism, and queer theory. Her current research focuses on work by women writers like Virginia Woolf, Radclyffe Hall, and Sylvia Townsend Warner, work that shows surprising points of continuity between feminine domestic life and radical modernist rupture.
