Along with his collaborator, Gary Holcomb, Professor Bill Maxwell has signed with the Claude McKay Estate and Penguin Random House to edit and introduce McKay’s lost novel “Romance in Marseille.” Completed in 1933 by a pioneer of the Harlem Renaissance, the novel will be published for the first time as a Penguin Classic in February 2020.
